- Does your child avoid writing tasks or have difficulty putting their thoughts on paper?
These symptoms might indicate that your child has a Language-Based Learning Disability or ADHD. An important step is having a neuropsychological evaluation to see if your child should be diagnosed with an LBLD or ADHD.
To begin the process of applying, submit an Inquiry Form to receive an application. A complete application includes the application, a recent neuropsychological evaluation, a photo and video of the student, and a school questionnaire. Once the application is complete, the team reviews it and may reach out to schedule a screening and school visit.
Gateway has a rolling admissions process and accepts applications throughout the year. Yes, there is an application fee of $125.

No, you do not need to submit an application to visit the school. You can complete an Inquiry Form if you are interested in touring Gateway.
Depending on the time of year, admissions decisions may take up to a month to complete. If the school is an appropriate fit for your student, we will proceed to a screening and an invitation for a school visit. Once the team reviews all aspects of the application, you will hear from the team with a decision. If the student is not a good fit, the office will recommend other schools that may best serve the student’s needs.

Gateway students attend school from 8:00 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. Doors open at 7:40 a.m. for drop-off.
Gateway uses a model of 6:1 in the Lower School and 10:1 in the Middle School.
Having a robust curriculum, including the arts and movement opportunities, is a key component of the Gateway program. In Lower School, students have a movement period such as PE and park everyday. In Middle School, students have PE or CrossFit three times per week. Students in Lower School have science two times per week with a dedicated science teacher. Students in Middle School have science four times per week. All Gateway students have music and visual arts once a week.
Gateway has a robust after-school program from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. We offer classes in the arts, sports, coding, and games. Programs are taught by both Gateway faculty and professional organizations. Middle School students may also participate in the annual Middle School Musical and in Gateway’s Athletics program, which includes competitive softball, basketball, and soccer.
Yes, Gateway has a lunch program for students at a low cost. A contracted company, Butter Beans, offers nutritious meals designed to have broad appeal across the school population. Parents can elect to join the program or send their students to school with their own lunch.
Students in Lower School receive Social Development/Counseling, Language Therapy, and Occupational Therapy. Students in Middle School receive weekly Social Development and Language Therapy. Learning and Literacy Specialists teach special classes such as Read Aloud and Research.
Each child receives two extensive report cards a year that details all the skills being taught in each domain.
