The DJ might even be taking requests…

TRIBUTE E-JOURNAL | Online journal recognizing retiring Head of School, Carolyn Salzman
A wonderful way to honor retiring Head of School Carolyn Salzman’s legacy is through the purchase of an ad in our tribute E-Journal. This is a beautiful way we can extend our gratitude in the short term for her extraordinary leadership.
With great disappointment, the annual Gateway Gala originally scheduled for April 30 at the Mandarin Oriental, New York is canceled. The health and safety of our Gateway community are of the utmost importance to us, and the decision to cancel was necessary, unavoidable, and a matter of public safety as our community braves through COVID-19. Please read the full announcement here.
While the 2020 Gala will not be held on April 30 at the Mandarin Oriental, New York, we, at Gateway, embody resilience and the ability to adapt in challenging circumstances. This strength has been evident in these last few weeks as our community has come together to support one another. During this challenging time, we all need something to put a smile on our faces. As such, we will still be celebrating in a number of ways! See above for information on our April 30th “Club Gateway” Instagram Live DJ set for a virtual gala dance party, our robust online auction open Monday, April 27 at 9 AM through Thursday, April 30 at 9 PM, and our tribute E-Journal for retiring Head of School, Carolyn Salzman.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to our Gala Chair, Tracey Loh, and our Gala Committee Members for their time and energy dedicated to planning this year’s event. It has been an honor to work alongside them, and we look forward to doing so again next year.
To all of the members of our community, thank you for your support of The Gateway School’s mission to change the lives of bright children with language-based learning disabilities and attention deficits. We look forward to partying with you virtually on April 30!

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2019 Gala and to the many people involved in making it such a huge success.
It was a truly special night with an unforgettable performance by legendary violinist, Itzhak Perlman. Families, faculty, alumni, trustees, past parents, and professionals all came together to celebrate and support Gateway, and the funds raised at the event represent a remarkable and inspiring commitment to the school. The elegant evening wouldn’t have been possible without our generous sponsors, dedicated Gala Committee, and especially our incredible Gala Chair, Tracey Loh.
