Friends of The Gateway Schools urge you to become involved in the fulfillment of Gateway's mission to help children with learning disabilities develop the academic skills, learning strategies, social competencies and self-confidence necessary to succeed in today's world.
You can help in so many ways: unrestricted gifts, allowing Gateway to meet both immediate and emerging needs of the Schools, students and faculty; scholarships for students who could not otherwise afford a Gateway education; support for programs that help students explore their talents and tackle their challenges; and so much more.
We invite you to be a part of something special at Gateway. Your gift of any amount tells us that you believe Gateway is an excellent institution that, with your help, can be even greater. All contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Gateway to the Future Campaign is A Success!
Thanks to the generosity of our trustees, parents, faculty, staff and friends, Gateway's most ambitious endeavor, the $16.5 million Gateway to the Future Campaign, exceeded its goal, raising $16.7 million. The Campaign made possible the creation of The Gateway Middle School and the opening of the doors to our state-of-the-art, expanded facility on the Upper West Side in 2008. Its goals also included raising funds for scholarships, teacher's salaries and equipment, as well as reducing our debt service.
A special thank you to our Campaign Co-Chairs, Edward Stern and Nicholas Schorsch, for making Gateway's dream a reality.
Parents' Annual Operating Fund (PAOF)
Each year, parents contribute to the Parents' Annual Operating Fund to help close the gap between tuition revenue and the actual cost of educating a Gateway student. These gifts sustain the individualized academic program that makes Gateway unique, along with many program enhancements including, remedial specialists and curricula in the arts, science and computer technology.
Friends of The Gateway Schools welcomes all forms of giving to the Schools including gifts of cash, gifts of stock, matching gifts, planned gifts and some in-kind gifts.
